Coordinator, Internship Program

Location: Park City , UT

Considerations: Position works full time in our Park City, UT office.† Position may require travel to off-site events, along with extended hours or weekend work at times.

Position General Summary: Facilitates Sundance Instituteís internship program by administering the program, building partnerships, and driving cross-department collaborations to meet the programís goals.

Essential Job Functions and Duties:†

  • Works with Institute departments to evaluate and track current and future departmental internship opportunities.
  • Collaborates with departments to establish internships that align with the program and student goals.†
  • Builds partnerships with universities to develop internship opportunities for students.†
  • Ensures internships comply with all university regulations.†
  • Utilizes a variety of recruitment methods and collaborates with in-house recruiters to engage a diverse number of intern applicants for current and future placement.
  • Assesses and conducts interviews with intern applicants for placement.
  • Provides training, onboarding and project timeline support to active interns.
  • In conjunction with HR, creates internship policy and procedures to ensure the integrity of the program.†
  • Conducts process review by performing benchmarking and analysis on best practices to improve the programís effectiveness.†
  • Manages the intern database to ensure information is accurate, up to date and accessible.
  • Creates and implements intern exit survey and department evaluations to determine the effectiveness of the program and each specific learning goal.
  • Attends job fairs and promotional events with team members to promote the program and garner interest in internship vacancies.††
  • Creates, schedules and facilitates internship brown bags, presentations, and meet and greets to prepare them for future interviews, review and provide feedback on resumes/cover letters, and provide them with further learning opportunities to set them up for future success.†
  • Tracks and coaches students in their individual internship interests and works with departments to align with future opportunities.†
  • Provides timely, accurate, and professional correspondence to internal and external inquiries.
  • Other duties assigned

Position Requirements:

  • Legal authorization to work in the United States.
  • 2 years of work experience, preferably in career development, internship program facilitation, or related field.†
  • Skilled in verbal and written communication, including the ability to provide briefing and training to diverse audiences.†
  • Must be able to effectively influence individuals of varying backgrounds and learning styles.
  • Experience managing and meeting budget constraints.†
  • Ability to interact effectively with all levels of staff and external contacts.
  • Must be able to maintain confidential information.†
  • Excellent organizational skills, able to manage multiple projects and prioritize Institute needs.
  • Proficiency in Google and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Must be a self-starter and possess strong analytical skills.
  • Ability to work nights and weekends around events and key deadlines.†
  • Ability to lead by example and act with integrity.†

Preferred Education, Experience, and Skills:†

  • Bachelorís degree preferred.
  • Recruiting experience.
