POSITION OVERVIEW
The Seasonal Coordinator, Annual Giving is charged with stewarding a nationwide community of supporters for Sundance Institute’s work with independent artists. This includes facilitating donor communications, supporting day-to-day operations of the annual giving and membership programs, providing vital administrative and donor relations support.
Working closely under the Director of Development, the Seasonal Coordinator supports raising revenue through the Institute’s Membership and Sundance Circle patron programs.
This temporary position works full time from Monday, June 9, 2025 through Friday, September 5, 2025. Extended hours, including mornings, evenings, and weekends, may be required at key points. This is a fully remote position that does not require any onsite work duties.

Supporting with the management of over 175 current and prospective individual donors.
Implementing communication plans for the Sundance Circle and Membership programs; including drafting communications, and ensuring alignment with renewal and acquisition strategies.
Partnering with Marketing to develop opportunities to showcase Sundance's year-round mission and encourage philanthropic support.
Managing the membership and patron program email inboxes and phone lines, coordinating support from team members during high-volume periods to ensure timely responses to donor inquiries and key information is passed along as needed.
Responding to donor and member inquiries, providing excellent customer support and resolving issues promptly.
Coordinating updates to donor communications, webpages, and collateral as needed.
Maintaining organized records and ensuring accuracy across Development systems.
Upholding confidentiality and professionalism in the handling of donor information.
Collaborating across teams to ensure a seamless donor experience that reflects Sundance Institute’s mission and values.
Surveying members, donors, ticket purchasers, and alumni to best engage and deepen relationships with these constituents and recommend ways to evolve acquisition, engagement strategy, and member benefits.
Conducting personalized outreach to secure renewals and new contributions fostering increased engagement and higher levels of giving.
Supporting the preparation of benefit fulfillment for the annual Sundance Film Festival.
Reviewing all communications to donors regarding benefits, to ensure a successful donor experience.
Collaborating with departments Institute-wide to engage alumni and audiences as supporters of Sundance.
You have the following direct or transferable skill sets:
2 years experience in nonprofit marketing or managing an annual giving or membership program.
Excellent organization, customer support, and problem solving skills
Experience writing for marketing purposes and with compiling and interpreting marketing analytics.
Experience with direct mail or marketing campaigns.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in recording, tracking, and issuing information.
Outstanding communication skills to work effectively with a wide variety of people.
Working knowledge databases along with proficiency in Google Products.
Ability to maintain confidential information.
Understanding and interest in Sundance Institute's mission.
Working knowledge of Fundraising databases/Customer Relationship Management (CRM) experience preferred.
Legal authorization to work in the United States.
