Festival Coordinator, Accessibility (Seasonal role)

Location: Park City , UT
Department: Safety

Employment Dates:†Monday, November 18, 2019, thru Friday, February 14, 2020

Pay rate: $15.75 per hour

Considerations: This position works full time out of our Park City, UT office. Required to work extended hours, including some evenings, weekends, and holidays to meet deadlines. Must be willing and available to respond to on-call needs as assigned. A high level of mobility is required as well as an ability to drive safely in winter road conditions.

Position Summary: Coordinates and facilitates elements and requests related to accessibility during the Sundance Film Festival.

Duties and Responsibilities:†

  • Serves as point person for all questions, concerns, or inquiries related to Festival accessibility, both internally and externally.†

  • Responsible for daily monitoring of the accessibility@sundance.org inbox, including responding to all incoming requests and questions in a timely manner.†

  • Coordinates training and communication of all policies and procedures around Festival accessibility to staff and volunteers.

  • †Works with Artist Relations team to determine appropriate accommodation for any artists with accessible needs.

  • Communicates directly with Theatre, Venue and Event Operations on patron/artist accessibility needs.

  • Ensures internal Accessibility Master Chart is updated and remains consistent with external Festival messaging.

  • Coordinates needs and communicates updates with any accessible vendors including ASL providers, CART Services. Etc.†

  • Assist at any screenings where accessible accommodation has been implemented, as needed.†

  • Assist Festival Ops Department with conducting daily Festival onsite visits to theatres, events, venues, and security guards throughout the duration of the festival and as directed.

  • Works with Manager, Festival Operations on various accessibility projects, as needed.††

  • Writes and complete a comprehensive wrap report, as directed.†

  • Other duties as assigned

Position Requirements:

  • Legal authorization to work in the United States.

  • Valid driverís license and successful completion of DMV background check.

  • 2 years administrative experience.†

  • Conflict resolution skills with a background that includes managing stressful situations.†††

  • Outstanding communication skills, verbal and written.

  • Strong interpersonal and professional skills required to work effectively with a variety of people.†

  • Excellent organizational skills including self management of work schedule.

  • Must be able to maintain confidential information.†

  • Ability to work nights and weekends around events and key deadlines.†

  • Able to stand and walk for long durations 12+ hours a day.

Preferred Education, Experience and Skills:

  • Basic understanding of the ADA and accessibility.†

  • Experience in working with people with disabilities.

  • Knowledge of Park City and Salt Lake City.†
