Temporary Coordinator, Collab Community & Partners

POSITION OVERVIEW

Sundance Institute is seeking a Temporary Coordinator, Collab Community & Partnerships to support the growth, engagement, and day-to-day operations of the Sundance Collab community. This role helps coordinate community-facing initiatives, partnership activities, and customer support operations while contributing to an inclusive and welcoming experience for independent artists.

Working closely under the Associate Director, Collab, the Coordinator, Collab Community & Partnerships supports efforts to maintain a safe, inclusive, and welcoming space for independent artists to connect and develop their work. The ideal candidate is a collaborative and community-oriented professional who enjoys supporting artists, building strong relationships, and creating organized, inclusive experiences across digital platforms and programs.

This temporary position works full time (40 hours per week) and is expected to begin as soon as possible and continue through Friday, August 28, 2026. This is a fully remote role that may be based out of any of our operating states and does not require any onsite work duties. Extended hours, including evenings and weekends will be required at key points to meet deadlines and respond to on-call needs as assigned.

Top priorities include but are not limited to…

  • Supporting the execution and coordination of the AI Literacy Initiative, supporting day-to-day engagement and coordination with member organizations.

  • Maintaining the Filmmaker Toolkit as well as Grants & Resources sections of the site, curating materials and keeping them up-to-date.

  • Coordinating the Community Leaders program, coordinating logistics and providing support.

  • Supporting community moderation efforts by helping uphold the Community Agreement and Code of Conduct through proactive communication and documentation.

  • Tracking and reporting on community engagement and support trends, helping track engagement trends and preparing reports for leadership review.

  • Helping coordinate relationships and communications with allied organizations, academic institutions, and external partners.

  • Coordinating and maintaining comprehensive partner materials, site experience resources, and instructional guides tailored to specific partnership needs (including AILA).

  • Supporting the execution and coordination of community challenges, including the selection process and management of partnership-specific pages.

  • Contributing operational updates and coordination support for partnership and community initiatives.

  • Serving as a cross-functional liaison between community members, partners, contractors, and internal teams to support timely communication and execution of Collab initiatives.

  • Managing the Collab support and course inboxes, ensuring a solution-oriented approach to membership, billing, and technical inquiries.

  • Helping triage support requests, document recurring issues and coordinate escalation of urgent platform, billing or technical concerns across internal and external teams.

  • Supporting accessibility initiatives in collaboration with the Institute’s accessibility team.

  • Coordinating the setup and execution of product bundles and packages within backend systems such as Stripe.

  • Supporting the maintenance and improvement of support workflows, ticket tagging, knowledge base documentation, and self-service resources.

You have the following direct or transferable qualifications and skills:

  • 2 years of experience supporting digital customer service, online communities, partnerships, program coordination, or related operational work.

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

  • Knowledge of digital platforms, Zoom, Asana, AirTable, Discord, and the Google Suite; proficiency with ZohoDesk and Stripe is a plus.

  • Knowledge of the film and television industry is a plus.

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple timelines and priorities with attention to detail.

  • A commitment to providing an inclusive, welcoming community experience.

  • Legal authorization to work in the United States.
