Seasonal Producer, Collab Partnerships

POSITION OVERVIEW

Sundance Institute is seeking a temporary Producer, Collab Partnerships to support the planning, coordination, and execution of partnership-driven artist programs and creative initiatives across Sundance Collab. This role will serve as a key operational and production partner across current and future collaborations. The ideal candidate is collaborative, detail-oriented, adaptable, and experienced in supporting creative productions, artist programs, or partnership-driven initiatives within media, arts, entertainment, or nonprofit environments.

The Seasonal Producer, Collab Partnerships will oversee application-based creative challenges and artist opportunities, coordinate selection committee processes, support program logistics, and serve as a production liaison between artists and partner organizations. This role requires strong project management, relationship-building, communication, and organizational skills, along with the ability to manage multiple timelines and stakeholders simultaneously.

Working closely under the Director, Collab this role serves as a key liaison across Sundance Collab, supporting team operations, contractor coordination, content management, and technical workflows.

This is a temporary full time (40 hours per week) position expected to begin as soon as possible and continue through Thursday, December 31, 2026, supporting ongoing partnership programs and operational initiatives across Sundance Collab. This is a fully remote role that may be based out of any of our operating states and does not require any onsite work duties. Extended hours, including evenings and weekends will be required at key points to meet deadlines and respond to on-call needs as assigned.

Top priorities include but are not limited to…

  • Managing and supporting partnership-driven artist initiatives, creative challenges, and program activations across Sundance Collab.

  • Managing application processes, timelines, and participant communications for partnership opportunities and artist programs.

  • Coordinating selection committee logistics, including scheduling, materials preparation, review processes, and communications.

  • Supporting the planning and execution of current and future partnerships as assigned.

  • Maintaining organized records, tracking documents, and program materials across partnership initiatives.

  • Producing and executing online intensives and educational programs in support of partnership initiatives, coordinating logistics, communications, facilitators, and participant experience.

  • Serving as a primary production liaison between participating artists and partner organizations for sponsored film projects and creative initiatives.

  • Supporting filmmakers throughout production processes by coordinating communications, deliverables, approvals, deadlines, and partner expectations.

  • Tracking project milestones and assisting in ensuring projects remain on schedule and aligned with program requirements.

  • Coordinating internal and external meetings related to productions and partnership initiatives.

  • Assisting with operational planning and cross-functional coordination for partnership programs and artist support initiatives.

  • Creating and preparing program materials, presentations, reports, and status updates for internal teams and external partners.

  • Supporting contracting, invoicing, and administrative coordination related to partnership initiatives as needed.

  • Contributing to process improvements that enhance program coordination, communication workflows, and participant experience.

You have the following direct or transferable qualifications and skills:

  • 3 years of experience in creative production, partnership coordination, program management, artist relations, or related operational work.

  • Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple timelines simultaneously.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Experience coordinating with external stakeholders, creative partners, artists, or production teams.

  • Familiarity with film, media, entertainment, digital storytelling, or arts nonprofit environments.

  • Experience with collaborative and project management tools such as Google Workspace, Airtable, Asana, Zoom, or similar platforms.

  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across teams.

  • A passion for supporting independent artists and creative communities.

  • Legal authorization to work in the United States.
