POSITION OVERVIEW
The Festival Office Production Assistant, Video Content is charged with assisting the logistical needs of the Content team, such as maintaining the production office, going on runs, communicating location instructions, and collecting paperwork, invoices, and overall assisting production logistics.
Working closely under the Production Supervisor, the Office Production Assistant will help ensure the safety, well-being, and efficiency of the production team is optimized and prioritized. The Office Production Assistant will also work closely with the Festival Production Coordinator and Production Manager. This role supports Sundance Institute’s commitment to creating content that highlights the needed work of independent filmmakers, and the resources that Sundance Institute provides these artists.
This temporary position works full-time (40 hours per week) from Wednesday, October 14, 2026 to Friday, February 19, 2027 and will be required to work extended hours, including some evenings, weekends, and holidays to meet key deadlines and respond to on-call needs as assigned. This position is based out of our Boulder, CO office in order to work onsite in a hybrid capacity throughout its employment.
Top priorities include but are not limited to…
Assisting in coordinating various workflows to ensure deadlines are met for the Video Content team.
Assisting in scheduling flights and transportation, lodging, and other logistics for contractors, working with team members to ensure accurate information.
Working closely with the Production Coordinator to set up organized systems and templates for workflow and scheduling for the Video Content team.
Assisting in creating daily schedules for Festival coverage (video and photography creation) as directed.
Helping prep team vehicles with appropriate equipment, including route directions, etc.
Assisting in scheduling equipment rentals, deliveries, shipments, and office technical needs, etc. as directed.
Supporting field teams and providing guidance to volunteers to ensure volunteers understand responsibilities and are effective in their roles.
Acting as a liaison between Festival vendors, employees, and the Video Content team.
Ensuring the office area is clean and stocked with all necessary supplies during the Festival.
Completing a comprehensive Festival wrap report as directed.
Assisting in ensuring all paperwork, receipts, and other important documents are well-organized during wrap.
Providing transportation support for Content team members to various locations and venues in the Boulder area, including driving a Festival-provided vehicle and assisting with schedule planning.
You have the following direct or transferable qualifications and skills:
Valid driver’s license and successful completion of MVR background check preferred.
1 year of experience assisting production logistics or related.
Outstanding verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills to work effectively with a variety of people.
Excellent organizational skills including the ability to prioritize.
Ability to problem-solve.
Ability to maintain confidential information.
Ability to transport items up to 50 lbs.
Legal authorization to work in the United States.
